The site's target audience is the international academic community of Italian studies and modern languages: scholars, professors, researchers, and doctoral students participating in the conference. The site accompanies them at every stage, from program and panel consultation to registration, to travel, accommodation, and dinner arrangements. It also gives visibility to Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin, which hosted the event, and to institutional partners.
In the case of SIS Dublin 2026, the site was designed to take participants from discovering the event to registering. The biennial conference of the Society for Italian Studies was hosted by TCD and UCD to mark 250 years of teaching Italian and modern languages in higher education in Ireland. We've organized the content into clear sections: Programme, Panel Abstracts, Travel and Venues, Dinners, Accommodation, and Registration. The site is entirely in English, catering to an international audience. The homepage slider shows university locations and Dublin, and each slide leads to a specific action: program, registration, accommodation, and keynote speakers.
By scrolling down the homepage, we've added a welcome text and the "250 Years of Italian" section, which explains the meaning of the edition. This is followed by three call-to-action cards on Programme, Registration and Travel & Venues. A tabbed block then allows you to consult Organisers, Keynote Speakers, Panels and Delegates. Each speaker and organizer has a link to their institutional profile, so the site highlights the event's academic community. Closing are the logos of the partners, including TCD, UCD, SIS, the Italian Embassy in Dublin, the Italian Cultural Institute, and Fáilte Ireland, which give authority to the event.
